Kitty-Shaped Kindergarten

Kindergarten Wolfartsweier is located in Karlsruhe, Germany. The cat-shaped kindergarten was designed by artist Tomi Ungerer in collaboration with architect Ayla Suzan Yöndel.

The cat’s tail is a slide that leads outside. Students come in through the mouth, and the coat room, classrooms, dining room and staircase are in the cat’s belly. The main room is the cat’s head.

The Logcabineer recently visited Lillhärjåbygget, Sweden’s only remaining farm on roadless land.  Powered by solar panels and maintained by the same family for 5 generations, the farm sits a 7km hike from the nearest dirt road.
